Prof Aisling McMahon delivers an invited lecture at World Intellectual Property Organization Summer School on Intellectual Property Law
Professor McMahon’s lecture examined ‘Patents and Access to Health’ focusing on the Agreement on Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) and the extent to which patent rights as prescribed under the TRIPS framework impact access and development of health-technologies.

Prof Michael Doherty presented a paper at the Labour Law Research Network Conference in Warsaw, Poland, which was part of the presentation of the book The Cambridge Handbook of Labor in Competition Law.
The chapter, “Competition Law, Cartels and Collective Bargaining: An Irish Goodbye?” examines how the Irish ‘voluntarist’, common law system of employment relations has responded when competition law and collective representation rights are at odds.
