The IGU organises an International Geographical Congress (IGC) every 4 years. The first IGC was held in Antwerp in 1871 and therefore predates the IGU by half a century. In addition, the IGU organises Regional Congresses and other Conferences in different parts of the globe. This page provides details of forthcoming events and reports on those that have taken place.
