The Maynooth Philosophical Papers were founded by the late Professor Thomas A. F. Kelly in 2002. The primary goal of the journal is to present the Maynooth Department of Philosophy to the outside world by showcasing research being done by its staff and postgraduates, as well as by invited speakers. The journal originally bore the subtitle ‘An Anthology of Current Research from the Faculty of Philosophy, Maynooth University’. The MPP would like to see itself as fostering philosophical discussion in the Irish context. It is a peer-reviewed publication that currently accepts submissions by invitation only.

Starting with issue 9 (2018), Maynooth Philosophical Papers is published in collaboration with the Philosophy Documentation Center. The PDC offers a complete archive of all back issues at www.maynoothphilosophicalpapers.org. Volume 10 (2020) is available for €10 from books.ie.
