About

In her role as Deputy Admissions Officer, Sheila collaborates with others in managing a wide range of projects including CAO Allocations and MU Open Days. 
 
In 2022, Sheila was seconded for 8 months to the role of National Student and Researcher Helpdesk manager. She led an inter-institutional team representing the Higher Education sector, working on the national emergency response project, in supporting Ukrainian students displaced by the war to access Higher Education in Ireland.
 
Sheila previously worked in DCU where she was responsible for overall management of undergraduate and postgraduate Student Admissions and Student Registration for the university, leading multiple teams in the various processes and functions. She has also worked in Adult Education in UCD and is committed to widening participation. Formerly a second level French teacher, Sheila has varied and extensive experience working across the education sector. She has worked with students and applicants at all stages of their educational journey and is interested in promoting lifelong learning.
 
Sheila holds a BA, H Dip in Education, Graduate Diploma in Adult & Community Education, M.Ed, and most recently a Graduate Diploma in Guidance Counselling.
