New Regulations/ Rialacháin Nua

The following provision of the Official Languages Act 2003 will come into force automatically on 14 July 2006, as described by corrsespondence with the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs:
Section 9(3), which relates to communications with the public in writing or by electronic mail for the purpose of providing information. This section provides that communications with the general public or a class of the general public for the purpose of communicating information about a public body’s services shall be in both official languages. It covers undifferentiated mail shots but not the bulk of circulars and correspondence issued by public bodies.

Cuid 9(3), a bhaineann le cumarsáid leis an bpobal i bhfoirm scríofa nó trí phost leictreonach chun eolas a sholáthar. Forálann an chuid seo go mbeidh cumarsáid leis an bpobal ginearálta nó aicme den phobal ginearálta chun cumarsáid a dhéanamh ar eolas faoi sheirbhísí chomhlacht phoiblí, sa dá theanga oifigiúla.
