Meta-Database

Welcome to the NIRSA Meta-database

The NIRSA Meta-database is one component of the Spatial Information System being developed within the Institute. The database is continuously growing on a voluntary basis and it is hoped that, in time, as its records expand it will become an invaluable resource for NIRSA researchers and the public.

At present it is in the construction and testing phase, and provides basic information on datasets generated by and/or of interest to members of the Institute, as well as data produced by Irish public agencies.

As NIRSA's Associates and Fellows are drawn from a wide variety of disciplines including Anthropology, Applied Social Studies, Business Studies, Economics, Engineering, Geography, History, Performing Arts, and Sociology, the thematic range of data is extensive.

If you have any datasets which you feel should be added to the meta-database, please fill out a submission form, or contact the SIS Co-Ordinator.
