Course Title: Career Skills
Course Leader: Dr Rob Kitchin, Director, NIRSA
This short course will provide guidance and advice on strategy with respect to essential academic career skills such as publishing, presenting and organizing events. The course is aimed at postgrads, postdocs, and young lecturers and will take an interactive form.
Rob Kitchin is the co-author of the forthcoming book, 'The Academics' Guide to Publishing' (Sage 2005). He has written or edited eleven other books, published numerous articles and book chapters, and is the managing editor of the international journal 'Social and Cultural Geography'.
