Following their highly successful Irish tour with ‘Flame of Ireland: an Office for St Brigit’ in 2005, the renowned Scottish medieval ensemble, CANTY, with William Taylor, wire-strung clàrsach, make a return visit to Ireland to launch their new CD in celebration of the Feast of St Patrick in March 2008. This first post-Reformation performance of ‘Veneranda imminentis’, medieval plainchant for St Patrick, has been newly edited from two 15th-century liturgical manuscripts in Trinity College Dublin, by Dr Ann Buckley (music) and Senan Furlong OSB (Latin text and translation).

Thursday 13 March: Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin @ 8pm

with the participation of the Choir of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral Dublin (Director, Peter Barley), and the Palestrina Choir of St Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, Dublin  (Director, Blánaid Murphy)

Friday 14 March: Saint Patrick’s Church of Ireland Cathedral, Armagh @ 7.30 pm

with the participation of Maynooth Schola Gregoriana (Conductor, Giovanna Feeley)

Maynooth and Dublin: € 15.00 / € 10.00 (concessions);
Patrons: € 50.00 for two tickets and inclusion on the List of Sponsors
Armagh: £ 10.00 / £ 7.00 (concessions).
Copies of the CD at a special pre-launch price of € 18.00 / £ 12.50 may be ordered in advance, or purchased on the evening of the performances.
