Disabled Access Transport

Dublin Bus

All of the buses serving Maynooth, the 66 and the 67a routes, are operated using low floor fully accessible vehicles. Features of these buses include

  • Low floor single step entry and kneeling suspension to further reduce entry step height
  • Priority space for wheelchair user
  • Wider gangways
  • Improved grip bars and palm activated bell pushes
  • High visibility number and destination display on front of buses

The 67A and the 66 routes terminate in the village and so are closer to the South Campus. The 66 route extends to Kilcock a few times a day and this bus pasess directly by the North Campus. Timetable details for Kilcock* are available on the Dublin Bus website. All Kilcock busses are fully accessible.

Getting around the campus

The buildings of the North Campus are largely accessible.

The South Campus however consists of buildings which are hundreds of years old and many of them present difficulties and may not be fully accessible.
