Catch up on the #FirstWeds Spring Series 2022: 'Conflict & Migration Through the Lens of Solidarity'
Patrick Marren and Niamh Rooney each moderated the last two sessions in the #FirstWeds Spring 2022 series on May 4th and June 1st respectively. The final two sessions focused on ‘Solidarity in Crisis’ and the ‘Criminalisation of Humanitarians on the European Borders’.

Department hosts memorial event in honour of Dr. Sinéad McGrath
The Department held a memorial event on Friday 22nd April to remember our dear colleague, Dr. Sinéad McGrath who passed away in January 2022. The main focus of the event was to recognise and promote Sinéad's contribution to research through her PhD on displacement, gender and human rights in Columbia. It was also an honour to accept a Peace Pole from the Raheny Rotary in recognition of Sinéad's concern and action for global peace and justice.

Dr Kieran Doyle moderated the first conversation of the #FirstWeds Spring Series 2022: 'Conflict & Migration Through the Lens of Solidarity', which considers Ukrainians and people of other countries ridden by war and conflict, who have been forced to leave their homes and cross borders in search of safety.

Latest International Development Blog Post
Our latest blog is authored by Clara Perras, a recent Erasmus MA participant. Clara studies on the MA in International Relations/Peace and Conflict Research at Goethe University Frankfurt and Technical University Darmstadt. She also works as a student assistant at PRIF (Peace Research Institute Frankfurt). Her work is mostly focused on intersectional and postcolonial feminist perspectives in peace and conflict and she works a lot on Feminist Foreign Policy and Gender Backlash.
