The origins of social psychology. Self and social identity. Crowd behaviour and aggression. Social cognition and attribution. Obedience and conformity. Stereotyping and prejudice. Attitude and attitude change. Interpersonal attraction.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Provide a detailed overview of some of the key experiments in a specified area of cognitive psychology; Compare and contrast different theoretical positions within cognitive psychology; Identify and differentiate between prominent social psychological theories; Provide detailed examples of key social psychological experiments.
