	Module Objective: Learn programming skills useful for Mathematics and Statistics research. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of programming for mathematical and scientific applications.

	Learning Outcomes
	On successful completion of the module, students should be able to: Understand and use basic data structures. Construct loops in a computer programme. Write basic computer programmes. Use a programming language to solve mathematical problems.
