Module Objective:
To introduce the students to the integral calculus of a single variable.

The Integral. Area. Riemann integral and antiderivative. Substitution. Parts. Applications. Logarithmic and exponential functions. Trigonometric functions and their inverses. Indeterminate forms. Improper integrals. Manual and computer techniques of integration. Tables of integrals. Reduction formulas. Expansion in partial fractions. Simpson''s rule. Applications of the integral. Volumes and surfaces of revolution. Length of Curves. Infinite sequences and series. Monotone and bounded sequences. Convergence of infinite series. Comparison test. Ratio test. The integral test. Power series. Radius of convergence. Convergence of Taylor series.
