	Overview
	Module Objective: Together with MT002, the aim is to introduce students to the study of mathematics at third level. Recommended Texts: Mathematics for Engineers by Anthony Croft and Robert Davison, Third Edition. Module Content: Arithmetic of whole numbers, fractions, significant figures, decimal places, simplifying algebraic expressions, factorization, solving equations, functions, co-ordinate geometry of the line, logarithms, exponentials, trigonometry and complex numbers.
