Acceptable Receipts

  • Original receipts must be provided for any expenditure that you are applying for assistance with.
  • Receipts must be dated after 1st September 2013. 
  • Credit/debit card transaction report are not accepted.

Please see below for guidance on the type of receipts that Maynooth University accepts:

Category What is Required
Rent (for private rented accommodation only)
  • Lease agreement/ letter from agency or landlord on headed paper which names you as a tenant and rent receipts

OR

  • Rent book which names you as a tenant and rent receipts
Travel (related to college)
  • Weekly/ monthly commuter tickets, national rail and bus travel
  • Petrol receipts (you must provide a copy of your Maynooth University parking permit)
  • Car tax, insurance or repairs NOT ACCEPTED
College Books / Materials
  • Receipts for college books, supplies or equipment
  • Receipts for compulsory field trips
  • Invoices or booklists NOT ACCEPTED
Childcare
  • Receipt / letter from a registered childminder confirming your child’s attendance, the amount paid to date and the childminder’s registration number.
  • Please note original birth certificate required for children for whom child minding is claimed.
  • Only registered childcare providers will be accepted.
Utility Receipts (for private rented accommodation only)
  • Utility receipts – includes heating, lighting, internet receipts (must be in own name or your name must be on the lease agreement for that address), mobile phone top up receipts.
  • Food/ grocery receipts NOT ACCEPTED
