Bernie Grummell is currently Research Manager/Lecturer with the Departments of Education and Adult & Community Education in NUI Maynooth. She is responsible for research management and methods across both departments, developing research projects of interest to staff in both departments and coordinating the MEd programmes in the Education Department.

She is the course leader for the MEd and MEd (School Leadership) programmes and lectures in research methodologies, sociology and equality studies on the EdD, MEd, MEdSL and PGDE programmes. She previously worked with the School of Sociology and the Equality Studies Centre in UCD in the areas of research methods, education and media literacy.

She has completed research projects with several organizations, including the Department for Education and Science, Irish Aid/Higher Education Authority, National Adult Literacy Agency and Radio Telefis Eireann.
